'retirement' Cebu City

I am thinking about comming to Cebu City for retirement, could anybody give me info links to things i need to know about living there. I am completely new to this but my life is stale here and i need a new adventure, I am single and age 63. Anything on health, well anything...that you think would be helpful to a new commer...Thank you sooo much Andy

I'm thing of retire to Cebu and I would like as much information on the do and donts as Isearch for place to live and householdhelp as I can get. Information on nightlife as well?

I'm 25 and i am planning on going to check out cebu for a little while, if i enjoy it i might just want to stay, i'm already getting retirement pay, i just need as much info as possible from seasoned vets of the phillipines(cost of living, transportation, meeting ex-pats over there, and of course women)

If some body think about comming to Cebu City for retirement, I would like to advice him, first to take a vacation of one to two months. Staying in a hotel or pensionhouse is a possibility but renting an apartment could also be a way. Further more, most important is to have trustful contacts to foreigners living here to meet them, discuss and let them explain and show to you the many important differences. We can only fully understand the so many differences if we stay her. There are also books written that should be read first. But as I already said, preparing some contacts and coming over here, is the very best that I can advise you.

Have you all done some research on what life in Cebu is all about? I am tempted to believe that you have something that is drawing you there. Going there for retirement would most likely provide you with a chance to have a new taste of life and experience a rather completely different lifestyle.

Have you all tried researching on the immigration laws of the Philippines? Cebu city is part of a larger metropolitan called Metro Cebu. It has lots to offer if enjoyment is what you are looking for.

Life is what you make it to be. If it was full of fun and now is not, you alone can turn things around.

Cebu' a good place. I live in Manila and stayed and worked there for almost a year. It's one place that's summer yearround
