What is the nightlife like in the Philippines? I will be arriving in March of 2007. I was wondering how safe it is for a group of Americans to travel alone at night? What kind of activities go on in the evening?

I would think as long as you guys stay in a group, it should be pretty safe. It would only get sketchy [anywhere really] to be all by yourself in an unfamiliar setting.
I would imagine there are bars and dancing clubs like anywhere else. I just googled and found a useful site with reviews of places to attend:

But always keep in mind that the pickpockets, etc know where the tourists hang out... and who better to relive of their extra money than a few drunk Americans?
