How is the music industry in Philippines? What type of music is popular?

I think they have different versions of American Pop Music. Plus they have some beautiful classical music as well. There music is less about the voice and more about instruments they use including many wind and string instruments. Majority of the instruments are made right in the Philippines as well.

I see, sounds interesting. I would love to hear some of their music. I wonder if I could find any online to download, such as samples?

The Philippine is the land of the sentimental and romantic Pinoys. Most of the citizens enjoy sentimental, emotional love/romantic songs. But nowadays, alternative rock and pop culture are also getting popular.

The likes of the balladeer Regine Velasquez, Ogie Alcasid, Martin Nievera are some of the famous names in the industry. Not to mention highly acclaimed Pinoy singers in international competitions.
