| How long does it take for applying sponsorship paper to canada?Please advice me. I'm from Philippines, I am heading by sponsored applicant to go to canada. Im married with Canadian man. Im still waiting for my papers to process. One of my friend tells me that it would take 5 years. the other says it could be take 3 years. Im happily married and im longing for my husband. We always talked online, we spend our time as much as we can. I love talking to him but i dont want to be like this talking to my husband online. I want to be with him and starting new life together. We are newly weds. He came here in the Philippines and we get married. we were been together for only 24 days. I always stressed out about my paper works. I miss him so much. My government sucks. it tooks time before i get to canada. I can't be blame my husband about this. I dont know what to do. We're still happy but didn't promise as each other that we could be happy always. As husband and wife i want to be with him. but what can i do .. I really miss him so badly. when i wake up i always wish that my husband is with me and holding with my arms he looking at me. Sadly, after 24 days he gone to canada. but we are not inseperable. we still have communication with each other. Please advice me. I dont know how long should i wait for my papers to approve. I always wish and pray it could be tomorrow. |

If you have the money and right connections, it would take at least a year.You need to look for relatives or friends who will sign your sponsorship papers. Usually, the Canadian government look for 2 sponsors for someone to be allowed to live and work in Canada, that is if you are applying directly or is planning to study. First sponsor will receive and provide your shelter during your stay and the second one will help you find work. But in your case, your husband will provide all the support that you need. Since you are married to someone who is already a citizen in that country, you can expect a smooth flow on your paper's processing. But you need to note that being married to him does not guarantee that you will be allowed to come and live in his home country. The foreign affairs department or the immigration will determine if you are legible to come to their country, and that process alone can take up to a few months to a couple of years. |
