I have learned from a history class I took that life expectancy in the Philippines is about ten years younger than it is in the United States. Just thought you all would be interested in that fact. I wonder if it has anything to do with medical care, exercise, or foods they eat? Trackbacks

That's interesting. I was unaware. Maybe all the harder work they do affects that? I really have no idea!

A lot of countries do better than the USA for life expectency. Might have to do with exercise and other countries (not yet) putting as much chemicals and junk into their food.

Yeah that does make a lot fo sense. It's a shame that America in general thrives on fastfood. It really is crazy how many different types of fast food joints there are in every city!

Guys, By younger I mean our life expectancy is around 70 where theirs is like 60. I should have been clearer on that I guess. We have better medical care then they do I suppose which helps the most.

Yeah that's what i thought you meant. That's why I was surprised because often in other countries their life expectancy is older than the general American due to better health. So i was surprised that the general life expectancy was ten years younger than the general American!
