I totally agree that there are a lot of medical schools in the Philippines that are full of prestige. They offered a good quality of education that everybody admires. Do you have something in mind whether what school are you going to enter? If you want to take a medical course in the Philippines, you better take the four-year course. In that way, you won't find any hard time to cope with the curriculum and your chance to get a better job is with assurance.
I think that four years would be the minimum for any type of medical school, as there is so much to be learned in that field, and so much hands on practice that you need to acquire before you can actually begin practicing. I would rather if I were you, take two years first to get acquainted with the topic, and give myself a chance to switch subjects if it turned out to be not for me.
For you to have good background with taking care of the elderly, taking up a four to five year course in the medical field would be the best option you can take. But well, if you are considering schooling in the Philippines, you can go for short courses, I think for two years minimum you can enroll at a good school there and be able to be trained good to be working with the elderly.
In the Philippines, I agree that there are a lot of prestigious schools that offer high caliber and quality standard of education when it comes to the medical courses. Also, there are competent students who are studying here. In fact, there are a lot of medical achievers who thrive not only in the Philippines but abroad as well. I think that this is a great indication about the quality of education.
Philippines is one of the great places in the world. It has lots of interesting tourist spots and travel destinations that can satisfy the stay of the tourists and so as its people. There are lots of must see places in Philippines that is why a lot of people keep on visiting and witnessing the natural beauty of Philippines. I am also glad that their medical tourism is indeed improving causing a great development in their economy in terms of tourism.
